3540i: DC Microstep Drive w/ Si Programming
The 3540i step motor drive is a programmable, microstepping, bipolar stepper drive suitable for a wide range of motion control applications. It includes an intuitive, user-friendly programming language for creating powerful indexing programs that are stored in the drive and allow the drive and motor to run stand-alone. 8 digital inputs and 3 digital outputs facilitate interfacing to other devices, such as PLCs, sensors, switches, etc.
The 3540i includes Applied Motion’s easy-to-use Si Programmer™ software for the rapid development of stand-alone motion control programs. The 3540i can also be controlled via streaming serial commands using Applied Motion’s Serial Command Language (SCL).

3540M: DC Microstep Drive
The 3540M step motor drive is a microstepping, bipolar stepper drive for step & direction applications. There are multiple step resolutions to choose from, and custom resolutions are available for OEM applications. Step resolutions and motor current are set via on-board dip switches, and the 3540M includes an idle current reduction feature to reduce motor current to 50% at standstill. A self-test feature is also included that automatically rotates the motor 1/2 revolution back and forth, which can aid in system setup and troubleshooting. The 3540M is compatible with a variety of 2-phase stepper motors.

3540MO: DC Microstep Drive w/ Oscilla
The 3540MO step motor drive is a microstepping, bipolar stepper drive for velocity-control applications, such as conveyors and labelers. The 3540MO steps at a fixed microstep resolution of 12,800 steps/rev with a 1.8º step motor (1/64 step). Motor speed is controlled by either on-board potentiometers or via external potentiometer wired to the drive’s analog input. Starting/stopping the motor and direction of rotation are controlled by digital inputs. The drive also includes an enable input and a digital tach output function for monitoring motor speed. The 3540MO can also be used with potentiometer-type joysticks for joystick control of the motor in both directions, forward and reverse.
