Phytron: Stepper Motor Power Stage (APS with SPI Interface)
Stepper motor power stage for 2 phase stepper motors with 5 A(PEAK) 24-70 V(DC) – sin/cos via SPI interface.
Phytron’s APS module is a compact (40 x 60 mm only!) high performance power stage perfected for driving stepper motors up to 5 A(PEAK) with 24 - 70 V(DC) for a shaft output up to 250 Watts. With up to 70 VDC The APS is also suitable for high rpm, highly inductive and high-resolution stepper motors. The APS can be controlled via pulse and direction signals or digital sin / cos (via SPI). The chopper technology (parameterizable) and high quality low resistance components provide high precision positioning and switching. Featuring optimized timing for minimal heat losses in the motor and power stage and a low resonance driving performance with a real 1/512 step resolution (102,400 positions per revolution with a 200 full step motor and encoder). An evaluation board including free parameterization and diagnosis software is available.
The compact APS is the core of the 1-STEPDRIVE (for SIMATIC ET 200®S) SPS module and as a power stage module of our phyMOTIONTM available. The APS can be parameterized (run current, stop current, boost current, current delay time etc.) and diagnosed online by a ServiceBus code and is also open for instructions from the CPU in runtime within a parameterization cycle.
Benefit from our APS power stage technology: EVA-APS board (p.3) or APS-Arduino Shield (p.4).
