ECET EPS Series Power supply was designed for 1-4 Axis DC voltage bus servo drive system,input AC voltage,output 1-4 Axis DC voltage channels,it can operate with different party's DC bus power input servo drive,such as Glentek,ELMO,Copley,AMC,and more.

Regen Resistor Power Estimation
There are many ways to select a regen resistor for an application. At E-MotionSupply, we normally recommend that the machine be fully exercised (all axis running under full load condition.
NOTE: When first started exercising the machine, pay close attention to the regen LED on the power supply module. Make sure that the regen LED is not lit (regen LED is lit when regen turned on) for more than 10 seconds continuously. Internal regen could be permanently damaged if the regen is turned on continuously for extended period of time.
The following equations are for estimating the proper power rating of an external regen resistor:
Er = (Ur^2 / Rr) * t
Er: Regen energy;
Ur: Regen trip voltage;
Rr: Regen resistor;
t: Regen on time (observing the regen LED on time during exercising the machine).
Pr = Er/T Pr: Regen resistor power;
T: Regen Cycle time; For multi-axis chasis base plate system or the regen turns on multiple time during exercising the machine, the Pr = (Er1 + Er2 …)/T, Erx is each time regen energy.
* If regen turned on for more than 10s continuously, use: Pr = Ur^2/Rr for the regen resistor power.
EXAMPLE:
Known Data:
a. The machine is a 3-axis system (three amplifiers driving three motors).
b. The total time for the machine to do a set of work is 30 seconds (all motors running).
c. The regen trip voltage is set at 400V.
d. Regen turns on 4 times for a complete work: the first time is 1s, the second time is 0.5s, the third time is 2s and the forth time is 1s.
e. The regen resistor value is 20 Ohms.
Solution:
Er1 = (400^2 / 20) * 1
Er1 = 8000 (J)
Er2 = (400^2 / 20) * 0.5
Er2 = 4000 (J)
Er3 = (400^2 / 20) * 2
Er3 = 16000 (J) Er4 = (400^2 / 20) * 1
Er4 = 8000 (J)
Pr = (8000 + 4000 + 16000 + 8000) / 30
Pr = 1200 (Watt)
Therefore, the appropriate regen resistor to be used should be of 20 Ohms and capable of handling at least 1200 Watts. A rule of thumb would be to choose a resistor that can handle 120% of Pr. That is, a regen resistor of 20 Ohms and 1440Watts is a minimum choice.
*For specific applications, please consult a technical engineer for the resistance of the regenerative resistor.
