Glentek Brushless Servo Motors To accommodate your complete servo system requirements, Glentek manufactures three complete series (GMB, GMBF and GMBM) of high performance, permanent magnet brushless servo motors which are described as follows: The GMB series utilizes high-energy Neodymium-Iron-Boron (NdFeB) magnets which when combined with low inertia rotors, provide high dynamic performance. Due to the high torque to inertia ratio of these motors, they are ideal for applications which require high acceleration and deceleration characteristics. In addition, all frame sizes incorporate skewed stators which provide ultra smooth operation (i.e. low cogging torque) at all speeds. They range in continuous torques from 2.8 lbin (0.32 Nm) to 1,092 lb-in (123.4 Nm) and peak torques from 8.4 lb-in. (0.95 Nm) to 3,276 lb-in. (370.2 Nm). Typical applications include factory automation machinery, fitness equipment (i.e. treadmills), labeling machinery, machine tools, material handling machinery, medical equipment (i.e. CAT scanners and PET scanners), packaging machinery, printing machinery, robotics, semiconductor machinery, surface mount pick and place machines, x-y tables, textile machinery, applications which have low to medium reflected load inertias and require a high dynamic response, applications which require smooth operation and/or applications which require a lot of torque in a small mechanical form factor. Normally closed thermal switch provides over temperature protection. Worldwide standard mounting configurations (i.e. English, Metric and NEMA). Optional custom mounting configurations are available to meet virtually any requirement. Various electrical windings are available as standard to suit both low (120 VAC) and high (240 VAC) voltage amplifiers in order to provide optimum speed and torque characteristics. Optional fluid tight strain relief cable exit, NPT holes with flying leads and terminal boxes. Encoders with commutation tracks, brushless resolvers or Hall sensors are the standard feedback devices offered. Standard encoder resolutions include 500 PPR, 1000 PPR, 1024 PPR, 1250 PPR, 2000 PPR, 2500 PPR, 5000 PPR and 8192 PPR. Shaft keyway standard. Class H insulation standard. Optional 24 VDC holding brakes are available. Optional precision gear reducers are available. CSA and UL recognized. CE marked.
