Planetary (PS/PL) Geared Type Stepper Motor
The Planetary (PS/PL) Geared type stepper motor provides high speed (low gear ratios) and high permissible/maximum torque. Available in gear ratios from 5:1 up to 36:1 [1.65 in. (42 mm) and 2.36 in. (60mm) only].
The Planetary Geared motor is available in 1.10 in. (28 mm), 1.65 in. (42 mm), 2.36 in. (60 mm) and 3.54 in. (90 mm) frame sizes.
High Permissible Torque
In conventional spur-gear speed reduction mechanisms, gears mesh one to one, so the amount of torque is limited by the strength of each single gear. On the other hand, in the planetary gear speed reduction mechanism, a greater amount of torque can be transmitted, since torque is distributed through dispersion via several planetary gears.
Encoder Option Available
The PK Series stepper motor with encoder offers high torque and precise feedback capability.
Encoder Feedback Type: Incremental
Two feedback resolutions: 200 and 400 pulses/rev.
