RGH40 READHEADSRenishaw’s RGH40 readhead offers all the benefits of the market proven RG4 linear encoder system - high-speed, non-contact performance with filtering optics to guarantee reliable performance over light oils, dust and scratches.The RGH40 readhead is designed for use with Renishaw’s RGS40-G (40 µm pitch chrome grating) glass scale and RESR angle encoder. Enclosed within a rugged, die-cast housing, the readhead uses proven solid state components to give outstanding reliability.
The RGH40 series readheads have been designed to the relevant EMC standards, but must be correctly integrated to achieve EMC compliance. In particular, attention to shielding and earthing arrangements is essential.The RG2 and RG4 incremental encoder systems have a strong reputation established over many years for providing reliable and robust position feedback for a wide variety of applications. However, Renishaw is continually developing innovative incremental and absolute encoder technologies and our latest encoder systems offer a range of additional benefits including enhanced metrology, smaller package size, easier installation and detailed diagnostics. Therefore, the RG2 and RG4 series are not recommended for new designs.
